Terry’s Lawn Care and Pressure Washing is helping residents in the Port Arthur, Texas area maintain their curb appeal. We sat down with owner, Terry Gilcrease to learn more about how he started his business and why he chose CoverWallet.

Tell me about your business, how did you first get started?

A couple years back I started mowing my mom’s lawn for her, and I really enjoyed it; I find it very therapeutic. I’ve worked in other service-related industries pretty much my whole life, before this I was kitchen manger for a restaurant. But I decided I wanted to branch out on my own. I’ve had my company for two years now and it’s going really well!

Have you always had a desire to start your own business?

Kind of, I knew I wanted to be my own boss, and I get a lot of satisfaction from seeing the results of my hard work. In my business when your done with a project you get to see the end-product immediately, and that’s one of the aspects I enjoy the most. I also get to meet a lot of great people.

As a small business owner, what’s the one piece of advice you would give to someone thinking of starting their own business?

Don't wait! Go ahead and do it; I wish I had started sooner.

What has your customer experience been like with CoverWallet?
