For Crystal Diebold, owner of the Red Bank, New Jersey salon 2 Dye 4, owning her own business was never in her plan. “It was never even in my top ten list of dreams I wanted to achieve.”

Crystal says launching her own salon came out of a necessity to find growth. “I had been working for another salon but there was just no opportunity. Clients weren't loving the full experience, and I felt like I could offer more with my own vision. I’m a very creative person and trying to work within someone else’s vision was difficult.”

While Crystal says she never envisioned herself as an entrepreneur, her passion for hairstyling started at an early age. “For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to be a hairdresser. I just love doing hair, and growing up I was always doing my friends’ hair.”

“At the end of the day, what I’m trying to do is make people happy; it’s my favorite part of the job. I try as hard as I can to make people feel great once they walk out the door.”

Crystal says when it came time to open her own salon she knew the perfect place, her hometown of Red Bank. “I decided on Red Bank because it’s a magical place where you can be around other creative people and because I grew up here I feel very comfortable here.”

Crystal has now been operating 2 Dye 4 Salon for seven years, but it hasn’t always been easy, especially in the beginning. “I’m definitely not a paper-pusher, so all the administrative work I had to do to get the business off the ground was really difficult.”

When it came time for Cyrstal to find commercial insurance she knew she needed something simple, fast, and convenient. “I had been using another broker for seven years, but I loved that your platform was online and it was so simple. It made switching so easy, and I also saved a ton of money.”
